There is something very unsettling about Nathalie Tafelmacher Magnet’s piece ‘I Enact Together’. Time-lapse inspired super 8 is reminiscent of the creepy death-bringing video from the Japanese horror film ‘Ring’. By a trick of the light little skull-like faces peer through the shutters behind the anonymous lady’s profile. As a melancholic ode to the repressed lives of her female ancestors the piece is both sad and sinister.
Nathalie was born in France but currently lives and works in London.
