The Family

The Le Gun commission evolved from Nomad’s recent shift of focus from individual to collective and collaborative practice. The London based collective of 8+ merge their individual practices for a shared Le Gun authorship, hence the exhibition title ‘The Family’.

The installations cardboard boudoir and gigantic thirty meter black and white ink drawing records an infamous family of eccentrics and outcasts as they make an intrepid journeyed from the murky, sin soaked streets of Legundon to an outlandish Interzone of mind bending intoxicants and bordellos.

Throughout the duration of the exhibition Le Gun presented a series of music nights and short film screenings as part of Le Gun’s temporary arts club.

Highlights included Soup Session, hosted by Jessica Antwi-Boasiako, Strangeworks performance collective, a programme of seminal short film curated by the Independent Cinema Office along with a gin soaked bar designed by The Dog & Wardrobe.
